What magazine distributor would be best to publish my magazine ?

Firstly by looking at my Large target audiences I have decided to go for a larger magazine publishing company because a lot of the larger company's such as IPC, Bauer, Dennis, Future have lots of different magazines and audiences making it easy to fit my magazine into one of their categories because of my large audiences my magazine target.

When looking at the many magazine distributors their are a few options for my magazine because of my large target audience. The first option was BAUER because of its large amount of magazine focused at many different audiences. The reasoning for choosing them initially was because BAUER is the publisher of Kerrang! magazine, a magazine very similar in content and audience to mine. They also have a very helpful audience to brand matcher. This means I can match my magazine to BAUERS other mediums like radio and TV to match my magazine for things like advertising etc.
They also have case studies on the site matching brands to audiences and content making it very easy to find the types of advertisement to match my audience.

BAUER is also a very large media group that has published over 107 brands since they have started their company. Getting a magazine published by them is as easy is getting in contact with them and pitching your idea. If they like it more steps will be taken to possibly publish it.

The second large company I looked at and is the one I've decided to go with is TEAMROCK this is because of a few reasons. Firstly TEAMROCK is the lead publisher of rock based magazines publishing a large range of magazines like METAL HAMMER and CLASSIC ROCK, being the perfect publisher for my magazine because of its genre metal and rock, and my large target audience fitting with TEAMROCKS demographics and target audiences. TEAMROCK also have subscriptions and an app for convergence of my magazine, making my magazine available on a range of media as well fitting the fast moving technology age  that my target audiences age group uses on a regular basis.


Overall after looking at both of my initial company choices for my magazine, TEAMROCK is the best option for my magazine because of my magazines genres and target audiences matching that of TEAMROCKS magazines readers demographics. As well as the convergence features of TEAMROCK making my magazine also digitally available.

TEAMROCK also has advertisement on sites like Spotify, this means that my magazine can be show to my audiences easily while they listen to music that is the genre of my magazine. This ties in multiple types of media for my magazine.
